DILUTE PHASE CONVEYING
Product completely dispersed in gas flow
| High gas velocities: | v=25-40 m/s (5000-8000 ft/min) |
| Low product to air ratio: | range 1-10 to 1 |
| Low to medium pressure drop: | p= 0.1-1.0 bar (1.5-15 psig) |
STRANDPHASE® CONVEYING
Product partially dispersed in gas flow, partially moving at higher concentration at bottom of horizontal runs
| Optimized gas velocity: | v = 15-25 m/s (3000-5000 ft/min) |
| Medium product to air ratio: | range 5-20 to 1 |
| Medium to high pressure drop: | p = 0.5 - 2.0 bar (7 - 30 psig) |
SLOW MOTION OR DENSE PHASE CONVEYING
Low gas velocities: v = 2-10 m/s (400-2000 ft/min) High Product to air ratio: range 15-50 to 1 High pressure drop: p = 0.5 - 3.5 bar (7 - 50 psig)
